Awakening Together: Celebrating 5 Years of Recovery Dharma
Join us for a weekend of Sangha, Connection, and Celebration as we commemorate 5 years of Recovery Dharma! This in person Summit will be held in Portland, Oregon. For those unable to attend, a live stream registration option will be forthcoming.

Program

Friday
2:00pm – 4:00pm – Registration
This will be a time to meet new sangha members, connect with friends, and get acquainted with the venue. There will be an art table to create and decorate your name tag for the weekend.
4:00pm – 6:00pm – Welcome and Annual Meeting
Our welcome session will include an overview of the Summit, an intention setting, and meditation. The RDG Board of Directors will host the organization’s annual meeting.
6:00pm – 7:00pm – Break
7:00pm – 8:30pm – Recovery Dharma meeting
Attend a Recovery Dharma meeting and meet up with new friends!
Saturday
8:15am – 8:45am – Yoga
Join us for a meditative yoga session.
9:00am – 12:00pm
Recovery Dharma’s core intention is to be inclusive and non-hierarchical. But how can we cultivate these concepts in our meeting spaces to ensure that all our members feel safe, seen, and heard? We will discuss Recovery Dharma’s commitment to inclusivity, diversity, equity, and accessibility, and we will workshop ways we can use Recovery Dharma practices and principles to create harmony within ourselves and in our healing spaces.

2:00pm – 5:00pm – Trauma-Informed?! What is that?
Join us in a conversation where we connect trauma and addictions. What does trauma-informed mean and what impact does trauma have on the mind and body? We will discuss somatic self-regulation practices and other techniques to practice mindfulness and trauma-informed care.
5:00 – 7:00pm – Dinner Break

Sunday

Join us for a meditative yoga session.

Affinity Groups
Participants will hear from our members and learn about the importance of affinity groups in our program. There will be time for information sharing, networking and meeting other RD members and groups.
Creativity and Reflection
A collaborative activity will be offered as an opportunity to express creativity and connect with our peers. Participants will be able to reflect and share on highlights of the weekend.
